Yeah, my '99 LS1 1LE Z28 really wasn't "impressive" in '99. It put more than 300 HP to the wheels in bone stock form and could still cinch 28 MPG highway at 85 MPH with the A/C on - something my 2013 VW GTI (turbo DOHC 4) simply can't do.
